Sometimes the most meaningful businesses begin in moments of heartbreak. For Alison, co-founder of Bub and Boo Soap, the journey started when she and her partner each experienced the loss of a beloved dog around the same time. To help ease their sadness, what began as a calming hobby — soap making — grew into something much bigger. They took their creations to a local market, and from there, a “happy little business was born.”
Today, Bub and Boo Soap calls Regina, Saskatchewan home, and since 2022 the brand has been crafting shower steamers and other aromatic self-care products designed to turn everyday routines into moments of joy and grounding.
What makes Bub and Boo stand out is their attention to detail, especially in their scents. Each blend is created with intention — comforting, brightening, uplifting, or soothing depending on the mood it’s meant to evoke. Their customers often come for the fragrances, but stay because every piece feels thoughtfully made.
The brand isn’t about rushing scale or mass production. Instead, it’s rooted in enjoyment — doing something fulfilling, crafting products that make people’s days just a little bit better, and sharing connection through scent.

Bub and Boo designed their packaging themselves — which makes the finished product even more meaningful. Their tubes feel like something you’d keep out on your bathroom shelf — not something you’d hide in a drawer.
For now, Bub and Boo is happily growing at a pace that feels right. As a part-time business fueled by joy rather than pressure, the future is open — whether that means expanding product lines, stepping into new markets, or staying local and intimate
