Ember & Owl: Where Tea Meets Fantasy

by Michele Molina April 09, 2026

A Cup Beyond the Ordinary

Impactful packaging has the power to transform a simple product into a lasting experience. Ember&Owl—a tea brand founded in 2025 by Jacob and Kristin Beck in Montana—set out to do just that. Offering a curated collection of herbal and black tea blends, the brand challenges the idea that tea is just a beverage. Instead, it becomes a ritual—an escape into something richer, deeper, and more memorable.

At the heart of Ember&Owl is a belief: tea should be savored not only for its taste, but for the feeling it evokes.

Designing an Escape

Inspired by a love for moody aesthetics, fantasy worlds, and timeless storytelling, the packaging was designed to feel like stepping into another universe. Working alongside designer Ricardo, the team brought this vision to life through a cigar-style box that houses six curated blends.

Elegant, dark, and richly detailed, the box captures a sense of mystery and refinement. Each design element—from the structure to the smallest details—works together to create something that feels elevated and intentional. The experience begins the moment it’s opened.

Is it just tea—or a portal into your favorite story?

Built to Be Kept

Unlike traditional tea packaging, Ember&Owl’s box wasn’t created to be tucked away or thrown out. It was designed to last.

A keepsake. A display piece. A gift.

Every decision—from material selection to structural design—was made with longevity in mind. The goal wasn’t to create something fast or disposable, but something meaningful. Something you’d want to return to again and again.

Collaboration that Brought it to Life

To realize this vision, Ember&Owl partnered with Paper Tube Co., working closely with Elizabeth and the broader team to bring every detail into focus.

From the beginning, the process was rooted in collaboration. Ideas were explored freely, without limitations—ensuring the final product stayed true to the original vision. Guidance throughout production, combined with a seamless workflow, made it possible to execute a highly customized, design-forward package.

The result is a product that feels as thoughtful on the outside as it does within.

More Than Tea

Inside, six carefully crafted blends—each designed to deliver not just flavor, but an experience. For those who think they don’t like tea, Ember&Owl offers a simple response: you just haven’t tried the right one.

Looking ahead, the vision is clear—Ember&Owl on shelves, in homes, and in the hands of those who appreciate beauty, quality, and intention.

Because this isn’t just tea.

It’s something to be experienced.
