Goood Chocco: Where Wellness Meets Whimsy

by Michele Molina June 19, 2026

In a category often divided between indulgence and wellness, Goood Chocco is proving the two don't have to be mutually exclusive. Founded in 2024 in Duluth, Minnesota, the brand combines high-quality chocolate with functional ingredients, creating products designed to make people feel good while having a little fun along the way.

At the heart of Goood Chocco is a simple philosophy: life should be enjoyable.

For founder Andrew Diedrich, launching the company marked a departure from a successful career in software development and a step toward something more creative. After years in the tech world, he found himself wanting to build something of his own—something that felt exciting, meaningful, and enjoyable to create.

As someone deeply involved in fitness and wellness communities, Andrew was already passionate about helping people take care of themselves. Combining that interest with a love for creativity led to an idea that felt both practical and unexpected: functional chocolate bars infused with beneficial vitamins and ingredients.

What started as a fun concept quickly became the foundation for a brand built around quality, creativity, and community.

Built Around Fun and Function

Goood Chocco doesn't pretend to be overly serious.

In fact, that's part of what makes the brand stand out.

While many functional food products focus heavily on performance and health claims, Goood Chocco approaches wellness with a lighter touch. Their playful mascot, a hand-drawn cat character, brings personality and humor to the brand while the product itself remains thoughtfully crafted with premium ingredients.

It's a balance the team works hard to maintain.

Behind the playful branding is a commitment to quality—from the ingredients inside each bar to the customer experience surrounding it. Every decision is guided by the belief that wellness products should feel approachable, enjoyable, and genuinely fun to interact with.

The result is a brand that feels equally at home in a gym bag, a pantry, or shared among friends.

Packaging That Matches the Product

When it came time to develop packaging, the team knew they needed something that reflected the care that went into every chocolate bar.

Early packaging concepts included traditional paper wraps, but they quickly realized the format wasn't doing the product—or the artwork—justice.

The chocolate bars themselves were crafted with premium ingredients and represented the efforts of many people behind the scenes. The packaging needed to communicate that same level of quality from the very first interaction.

Paper tube packaging offered the perfect solution.

The sturdy construction, premium feel, and vibrant print quality allowed the brand's visual identity to shine while creating a memorable unboxing experience. The tubes protect the product while elevating it, transforming a simple chocolate bar into something that feels special.

According to the team, some of their favorite details are the texture of the paper, the richness of the colors, and the overall quality of the finished package. Every element reinforces the thoughtfulness behind the brand and helps bring the creative vision to life.

Inspired by Hand-Drawn Creativity

The playful personality behind Goood Chocco can be traced back to a simple creative gesture.

A friend of Andrew's regularly creates hand-drawn cards and illustrations, and those original doodles ultimately inspired the visual identity of the brand. Today, those whimsical drawings appear throughout the packaging experience, including hidden illustrations tucked inside the product packaging.

These artistic details create moments of surprise and discovery while reinforcing the brand's belief that everyday products should bring a little joy into people's lives.

Rather than following industry trends, Goood Chocco has embraced a visual style that feels personal, approachable, and unmistakably its own.

Looking Ahead

While the company is still in its early stages, the team already has ambitious plans for the future.

Additional chocolate bar varieties are in development, along with functional truffles featuring ingredients like protein and creatine. Beyond that, the possibilities continue to expand into new formats, including chocolate milk and protein powders.

For now, the founders remain focused on building the brand one step at a time while balancing the realities of entrepreneurship. Like many new businesses, they're still juggling multiple responsibilities and jobs as they work to bring their vision to life.

But with a strong creative foundation and growing momentum, Goood Chocco is only getting started.

A Collaborative Partnership

Creating custom packaging requires a team effort, and Goood Chocco found that partnership in The Paper Tube Co.

From initial planning and design support to production and shipping coordination, the process was collaborative from start to finish. The team appreciated the guidance, communication, and expertise provided throughout every stage of development.

The result is packaging that feels just as thoughtful and high-quality as the chocolate inside.

For a brand built around creativity, quality, and having fun, that's exactly how it should be.
